Svitch Motocorp Unwraps CSR 762 Electric Motorcycle, Set For Early 2024 Launch

Ahmedabad-based electric two-wheeler startup, Svitch Motocorp, has revealed its latest offering, the CSR 762 electric motorcycle, showcasing its design and technology innovations. The company claims that the CSR 762 is set to revolutionize the electric motorcycle market, with its launch scheduled in the next 90 days, and anticipated to hit the roads in early 2024.

Svitch has invested over ₹100 crores in the development of the new electric motorcycle, focusing on delivering top-tier quality and performance. The CSR 762 features a futuristic design with a fully-faired construction, offering an upright riding posture. Its distinctive LED daytime running lights contribute to its unique appearance.

Under the hood, the Svitch CSR 762 is equipped with a 3 kW (4 bhp) PMS electric motor, delivering a peak power output of 10 kW (13.4 bhp) at 3,800 rpm, and a peak torque of 165 Nm, dropping to 55 Nm. The motorcycle boasts a top speed of 120 kmph and relies on two 3.6 kWh lithium-ion swappable battery packs, providing a claimed range of 160 km on a single charge, marking a 40 km improvement compared to last year’s specifications. The model also includes notable features such as a 40-litre storage space, a mobile charger, and a fully enclosed mobile holder.

Founder of Svitch Motocorp, Raj Patel, expressed enthusiasm for introducing a game-changing electric vehicle to the industry. CEO Chintan Khatri added that the project reflects the company’s commitment to “Make in India” and contributes to the nation’s economic growth.

The production location for the new Svitch Motocorp is likely to be in Ahmedabad, aligning with the Indian government’s “Make in India” initiative. While details regarding localization levels, production capacity, and expansion are yet to be disclosed, the company has announced its intention to begin sales with four exclusive showrooms in Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore.
