Honda has officially announced the launch of the all-new Honda Super-ONE, a compact electric vehicle designed to redefine the daily driving experience with a combination of sporty performance, advanced technology, and practical usability.

Developed under the concept of “e: Dash BOOSTER,” the Super-ONE aims to bring excitement and emotional appeal to the EV segment while maintaining the convenience expected from compact city cars. Based on the platform of the Honda N-ONE e:, the new model features a wider body stance, enhanced handling, and a host of entertainment-focused technologies.

Bold Design With Sporty Character

Honda says the exterior styling was engineered to communicate motion and agility. Wide blister fenders, aerodynamic air ducts, and large tires contribute to a low and aggressive stance. Inside, the cabin adopts a horizontal dashboard layout for improved visibility, while specially designed sports seats with asymmetrical blue accents add a youthful, playful atmosphere.

The automaker explained that the name “Super-ONE” reflects its ambition to go beyond the conventional standards of compact EVs and create a “one-and-only” driving experience unique to Honda.

Lightweight Build and Multiple Drive Modes

One of the Super-ONE’s major highlights is its lightweight construction. At just 1,090 kg, Honda claims it is among the lightest vehicles in its class. Combined with a widened tread and large-diameter tires, the EV is engineered to deliver sharper cornering stability and engaging road manners.

Drivers can choose from five drive modes:

  • ECON
  • CITY
  • NORMAL
  • SPORT
  • BOOST

The standout BOOST Mode raises power output from 47kW to 70kW, delivering stronger acceleration and a more dynamic feel. Honda has also introduced a simulated 7-speed transmission and virtual engine sound system that recreates the sensation of driving a traditional sporty gasoline-powered vehicle.

Adding to the immersive experience, the vehicle’s ambient lighting and triple-meter display change color from blue to purple when BOOST Mode is activated.

Practical EV Performance

The Super-ONE offers a WLTC-rated driving range of 274 km (170 miles) per charge. Honda states that regular charging takes approximately 4.5 hours, while fast charging can replenish the battery to 80% in roughly 30 minutes.

The compact EV is also compatible with Honda’s external power supply connector, allowing the vehicle to deliver up to 1,500W of electricity for powering household appliances or emergency backup equipment.

Premium Technology and Audio Features

The audio setup uses Bose’s Dynamic Speed Compensation technology to automatically adjust sound quality according to driving conditions.

The car also includes a 9-inch Honda CONNECT display with integrated Google services, enabling seamless access to navigation, apps, and smartphone connectivity.

Advanced Safety Suite

The Super-ONE is equipped with the latest version of Honda SENSING driver-assistance technologies as standard. Features include:

  • Collision Mitigation Braking System
  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow
  • Lane Keeping Assist
  • Traffic Jam Assist
  • Traffic Sign Recognition
  • Parking Sensor System
  • Auto High Beam Headlights

Honda emphasized that these technologies are designed to assist drivers but should not replace attentive driving.

Pricing and Availability

Honda has set the manufacturer’s suggested retail price in Japan at 3,390,200 yen (including tax) for the front-wheel-drive model with seating for four passengers.
