BGauss has launched the C12 MaxR electric scooter in India, introducing a new model focused on range, performance, durability and connected features.

The C12 MaxR is built on BGauss’ WSA platform, a vehicle architecture designed to support different motor, battery and wheel configurations. The platform uses high-tensile micro-alloy steel and robotic manufacturing processes and is engineered for a vehicle life of up to 150,000 km.

The scooter is equipped with a 3.8 kWh IP67-rated LFP battery housed in an aluminium enclosure for thermal management. Its Battery Management System incorporates 110 safety and protection features. The battery delivers an IDC-certified range of 178 km on a single charge.

4.2 kW HyperZen Motor

The C12 MaxR uses BGauss’ HyperZen in-wheel hyperdrive motor platform, which delivers 4.2 kW of peak power and a top speed of more than 75 km/h. The system integrates the motor, gear transmission, braking system and Motor Control Unit into a compact architecture.

The integrated transmission eliminates the need for a conventional belt or chain, while the integrated Motor Control Unit reduces wiring and packaging requirements. The scooter is available with Eco, Ride and Sport riding modes, along with reverse mode, cruise control and regenerative braking.

The scooter includes under-seat storage capable of accommodating two helmets, along with a pop-out umbrella holder, lockable storage compartment, wireless charging, mobile and bottle storage, and a dedicated cleaning-cloth space. Its floorboard is designed to accommodate medium-sized luggage.

Technology features include a 5-inch TFT display with turn-by-turn navigation, call notifications, ride and charging statistics, user profiles, document storage and multiple display themes.

The C12 MaxR also includes features such as Distance-to-Empty, FallSense, side-stand and main-stand motor cut-off, service reminders, Remember My Mode and Guide My Home.

Through BGauss’ connected ecosystem, users can access Parental Lock, SecureLock, selectable speed modes, profile settings, firmware updates, vehicle health checks, SOS and DigiLocker connectivity.
