VinFast has officially rolled out the first VF MPV 7 electric vehicle from its Subang manufacturing plant in West Java, marking a major milestone in the company’s Southeast Asia expansion strategy and reinforcing its commitment to Indonesia’s fast-growing EV market.

The announcement was made during a four-day customer experience event at Central Park Mall in Jakarta, where consumers, media representatives, and business partners were invited to test drive the all-electric MPV and explore its advanced smart features and spacious family-oriented design.

Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto described the launch as a key step in VinFast’s localization journey in Indonesia. He said the VF MPV 7 reflects the company’s long-term investment vision and commitment to delivering intelligent, accessible, and high-quality electric vehicles tailored for Indonesian consumers.

The VF MPV 7 is positioned as a premium electric MPV designed for modern urban families. The vehicle measures 4,740 mm in length and offers seating for seven passengers with a spacious cabin layout and premium synthetic leather interiors. It features a 10.1-inch infotainment display compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with automatic climate control equipped with PM 2.5 air filtration.

Powered by a 150 kW electric motor producing 201 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque, the MPV delivers a driving range of up to 450 kilometers on a full charge under NEDC standards. VinFast said its fast-charging technology can recharge the battery from 10% to 70% in approximately 30 minutes.

The vehicle also comes equipped with advanced technologies including Indonesian voice-control virtual assistance, smartphone-based remote vehicle management, cruise control, rear parking assist, and multiple safety systems.

To attract early buyers, VinFast announced a cashback incentive of IDR 16 million for the first 2,000 customers purchasing the VF MPV 7. Customers will additionally receive free charging access at V-Green stations across Indonesia until March 31, 2029.

Pricing for the VF MPV 7 in Jakarta starts at IDR 420 million for the battery-included version and IDR 345 million under VinFast’s battery subscription model, with subscription plans beginning at IDR 880,000 per month.

The launch comes only months after VinFast inaugurated its Subang EV plant in December 2025. Built on a 171-hectare site, the facility is expected to eventually reach an annual production capacity of 350,000 vehicles with investments projected to exceed USD 1 billion.
