BYD India, a subsidiary of the world’s leading New Energy Vehicles (NEV) manufacturer, has inaugurated its first electric vehicle showroom in Karnal, Haryana, named Samta BYD Karnal. This state-of-the-art facility marks a pivotal milestone in BYD’s commitment to promoting sustainable mobility in the region.
Spanning 30,000 sq. ft., the showroom is the largest BYD facility in North India, featuring a modern design, a well-equipped workshop, an expansive vehicle display area, and a comfortable customer lounge. The Karnal dealership aims to provide both sales and service support while showcasing BYD’s advanced lineup of electric vehicles.
Mr. Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles (EPV) at BYD India, emphasized the significance of the launch:
“This is a landmark achievement for BYD India. Our goal is to provide customers with a seamless and enriching experience. With a dedicated team, Samta BYD Karnal is ready to meet the growing demand for EVs and support Karnal’s shift toward eco-friendly transportation. The launch event was attended by distinguished guests, including Mr. Baldev Khetarpal, Chairman & Managing Director of Samta BYD Karnal, and enthusiastic customers. Speaking at the event, Mr. Khetarpal remarked,

The showroom will host BYD’s complete lineup of electric vehicles, including award-winning models like the BYD SEAL, which has received accolades such as the Times Network Award for EV Sedan of the Year and the Jagran HiTech Award for the 2024 Premium Car of The Year.
BYD’s presence at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 further highlights its innovation. The BYD India pavilion (Hall 6-08) will feature the latest EV models, global offerings, and cutting-edge technologies designed to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
In 2024, BYD achieved global sales of over 4.27 million New Energy Vehicles, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 41.26%. Renowned for its pioneering advancements, including the Blade Battery and DM-i platform, BYD continues to set new standards in sustainable transportation.
