Euler Motors, an electric commercial vehicle manufacturer, has expanded its manufacturing footprint in Palwal, Haryana, with a new facility dedicated to its four-wheeler portfolio, including the Turbo EV 1000 and Storm EV. The facility represents an investment of INR 100 crore and operates across a 40-acre site with an annual production capacity of up to 24,000 vehicles.
The facility was inaugurated by Dr. Pawan Munjal, Executive Chairman of Hero MotoCorp, in the presence of Euler Motors’ leadership team. At full ramp-up, the plant will operate two shifts along with a third hybrid shift and feature an automated four-wheeler assembly conveyor line, dedicated assembly lines, a body shop and an integrated battery pack assembly line. The company said the vehicles are designed and engineered in India and supported by a highly localised supply chain.
Euler Motors has integrated testing and validation across the manufacturing process. Key vehicle systems, including suspension frames, drivetrain and steering, undergo testing for early fault detection. Battery packs are subjected to thermal cycling, thermal shock, water-wading, drop, vibration, mechanical shock and abuse testing under real-world load conditions. Electrical, mechanical and thermal systems are also validated before vehicles are delivered to customers.
According to Saurav Kumar, Founder and CEO of Euler Motors, the company’s four-wheeler vehicles have helped increase EV penetration in the segment from around 1% to approximately 5.8%, with Euler Motors achieving around 28% market share. The company has also increased its monthly four-wheeler sales from around 40 units in April last year to approximately 800 units in June this year.
The company said the Turbo EV 1000 and Storm EV are designed to address the performance, affordability and technology requirements of the four-wheeler light commercial vehicle segment, which has traditionally been dominated by internal combustion engine vehicles. The Turbo EV 1000 is positioned as a one-tonne electric truck, while the Storm EV features Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including collision alerts and night vision assistance.
The new facility is expected to strengthen Euler Motors’ manufacturing capacity as it scales its four-wheeler business and caters to rising demand for electric commercial vehicles. The expansion is also expected to create skilled employment opportunities in the region, with Euler Motors continuing to design and manufacture its vehicles in India.
