Electric two and three-wheeler manufacturer Zelio E-Mobility has announced a major workforce expansion plan as the company accelerates its manufacturing and business operations across India.
The company, which currently employs around 260 people across its manufacturing facilities in Hisar, Bhubaneswar, and Coimbatore, aims to increase its workforce to more than 500 employees during the current financial year.
As part of the expansion strategy, Zelio will hire 100 employees in Hisar, 50 in Bhubaneswar, and another 100 in Coimbatore. The Coimbatore facility, recently established by the company, is expected to play a central role in the next phase of growth as it moves toward commissioning and production scale-up.
The recruitment drive will focus on strengthening key operational and strategic functions across manufacturing, research and development, quality control, and sales. The company is also looking to onboard plant heads, production planning experts, zonal sales leaders, and after-sales service professionals to support its growing dealer and customer network.
Commenting on the development, Divyanshu Agarwal, CEO of Zelio E-Mobility, said the company remains committed to creating employment opportunities alongside business expansion.
“Since the beginning, Zelio has always been a people-first company. Wherever we enter, whether a state or a city, our focus is to create meaningful job opportunities and contribute to local employment,” Agarwal said. “Our expansion is not only focused on manufacturing growth but also on building strong local ecosystems in each region we operate in.”
The workforce expansion comes on the back of a strong financial performance in FY2025–26. Zelio reported an 81.8 percent year-on-year rise in revenue to ₹313.68 crore, compared to ₹172.19 crore in FY25. The company has remained profitable since inception and recorded an approximate revenue CAGR of 121 percent over the past four years.
The announcement also follows Zelio E-Mobility’s listing on the BSE SME platform in October 2025. Through its initial public offering, the company raised ₹78.34 crore, including a fresh issue of ₹58.84 crore and an offer for sale worth ₹15.50 crore. The IPO received an overall subscription of 1.5 times.
With over 400 dealerships spread across more than 25 states, Zelio is now aiming to expand its network to over 550 dealerships by FY27, focusing particularly on South India and the North-East as demand for electric mobility solutions continues to grow.
