Ashok Leyland, the flagship company of the Hinduja Group, has expanded its footprint in eastern India with the inauguration of a new Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) dealership in Rourkela, Odisha.
The new facility, operated by channel partner SteelEx India, is strategically located at Brahmani Tarang in Vedvyas and features a fully integrated 3S setup—Sales, Service, and Spares. Equipped with 12 quick service bays and modern infrastructure, the dealership aims to deliver an enhanced customer experience while supporting growing demand in the region.
This marks Ashok Leyland’s seventh LCV dealership in Odisha, further strengthening its nationwide network, which now spans over 945 customer touchpoints. The company offers a comprehensive LCV portfolio, including models such as BADA DOST, DOST, SAATHI, PARTNER, and MiTR.
Speaking on the development, Viplav Shah, Head of LCV Business at Ashok Leyland Ltd., highlighted Odisha’s importance as a key market and emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering reliable, high-performance vehicles backed by strong service support.
Ashok Leyland has also been expanding its product lineup to meet evolving customer needs. Its recent entry into the sub-2-ton segment with the SAATHI small commercial vehicle reflects its strategy to tap new growth opportunities. The model features a 45 HP engine, 110 Nm torque, and a payload capacity of 1,120 kg, positioning it competitively in the entry-level segment.
With over 600,000 LCVs already operating across India, the company continues to focus on innovation, customer-centric solutions, and network expansion to solidify its leadership in the commercial vehicle space.
