VinFast has officially rolled out the first VinFast VF MPV 7 from its manufacturing plant in Subang, West Java, marking a major milestone in the company’s localization strategy and expansion across Southeast Asia’s growing electric vehicle market.

The announcement was made during a four-day experiential event held at Central Park Mall in Jakarta, where Indonesian customers, partners, and media representatives were invited to test-drive the all-electric MPV and explore its advanced features and spacious interior.

The rollout highlights VinFast’s commitment to increasing local production capabilities in Indonesia, one of the region’s fastest-growing EV markets. The Subang plant, inaugurated in December 2025, forms a key part of the company’s long-term global manufacturing strategy.

Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto described the VF MPV 7 as a strategic product designed specifically for modern urban families in Indonesia.

“The rollout of the first VF MPV 7 from the Subang plant marks an important milestone in our localization journey,” he said. “It enhances competitiveness while delivering intelligent and accessible electric vehicles tailored to local market needs.”

Built on traditional MPV proportions, the VF MPV 7 features a spacious seven-seat cabin with dimensions measuring 4,740 mm in length and a wheelbase of 2,840 mm. The interior includes a 10.1-inch infotainment display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, premium synthetic leather seats, and automatic air conditioning with PM 2.5 air filtration for all three seating rows.

The electric MPV is powered by a motor producing 150 kW (201 hp) and 280 Nm of torque. Its 60.2 kWh battery delivers a driving range of up to 450 km under NEDC standards, while fast-charging capability allows the battery to charge from 10% to 70% in approximately 30 minutes.

VinFast has also equipped the vehicle with smart technologies including Indonesian-language voice control, smartphone-based remote vehicle management, rear parking assist, cruise control, and a reinforced safety structure.

In Jakarta, pricing for the VF MPV 7 starts at IDR 420 million for the battery-included version and IDR 345 million under the company’s battery subscription model. Subscription fees begin at IDR 880,000 per month. VinFast is also offering a cashback incentive of IDR 16 million for the first 2,000 buyers, alongside free charging at V-Green stations in Indonesia until March 2029.

Since entering Indonesia around two years ago, VinFast has rapidly expanded its dealership network, charging infrastructure partnerships, and financing programs, positioning itself as a key player in the country’s accelerating transition toward electric mobility.
