JBM EV Unveils ECOLIFE e12 Electric City Bus at Busworld 2025, Expands European Presence

JBM Electric Vehicles (JBM EV), a global leader in electric buses and EV ecosystem solutions, launched its all-electric city bus ECOLIFE e12 at Busworld 2025 in Brussels, Belgium. The new-generation bus was unveiled by Mr. Nishant Arya, Vice Chairman & MD of JBM Group, marking a significant step in the company’s mission to decarbonize public transport.

Built with a lightweight monocoque stainless steel body, the ECOLIFE e12 integrates advanced technologies including Intelligent Transport System (ITS) as per EU norms, 24×7 telematics for real-time vehicle monitoring, and the company’s proprietary ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). Safety highlights include AEBS (Automatic Emergency Braking), collision warning systems, lane departure alerts, blind-spot detection, pedestrian and cyclist protection, driver drowsiness and distraction warnings, fire detection & suppression system, and a 360-degree camera setup.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Arya said, “Our mission is to decarbonize public transport by creating new and sustainable global benchmarks. Green mobility is not just about reducing carbon footprints—it’s about elevating quality of life through smarter, safer and more accessible transport solutions.”

Celebrating a decade in the public mobility space, JBM EV announced its vision to serve 20 billion passengers and clock 3 billion e-kilometres in the next three years.

In a strategic expansion, the company also inaugurated its European headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany, which will function as the hub for marketing, aftersales, operations, and partnerships across the EU.

JBM EV has already deployed or is executing projects for over 11,000 electric buses globally. Its India-based facility—the world’s largest integrated e-bus manufacturing plant outside China—has an annual production capacity of 20,000 buses. So far, JBM electric buses have clocked 200+ million e-kms, served over 1 billion passengers, and saved more than 1 billion kg of CO₂ emissions.

Aligned with its Net Zero 2040 commitment, JBM EV is driving forward the United Nations’ SDGs #3 (Good Health & Wellbeing), #9 (Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure), #11 (Sustainable Cities), and #13 (Climate Action). At Busworld, the company also showcased its EV ecosystem platform “JBM E-Verse”, which integrates fast-charging infrastructure, high-efficiency Li-ion batteries, power solutions, and a digital service network aimed at ensuring zero downtime mobility.
