General Motors is set to take center stage at Everything Electric, one of the world’s largest home energy and electric vehicle expos, as the event opens its doors at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
The automaker will display 11 electric vehicles at the show, while also offering visitors the chance to experience 12 EVs on an outdoor test-drive track. Among the highlights are the Cadillac ESCALADE IQ, OPTIQ, LYRIQ, and VISTIQ; the Chevrolet Equinox EV, Blazer EV, and Silverado EV; the BrightDrop all-electric van; and the GMC Sierra EV and Hummer EV lineup.
“We’re thrilled to showcase our electric portfolio in Vancouver, one of Canada’s top EV markets,” said GM Canada President Kristian Aquilina. “As Canada’s EV sales leader, this event is also an opportunity to connect with customers who are helping drive innovation and hear what they’re looking for next.”
GM recently secured its position as Canada’s largest EV seller, capturing 23% market share in the first half of 2025, up from 8% a year earlier. Much of this growth has been fueled by strong demand for the Chevrolet Equinox EV, along with rising sales of the Cadillac OPTIQ and LYRIQ, which have made Cadillac the country’s top-selling luxury EV SUV brand. Notably, 64% of Cadillac EV buyers this year are new to the brand, signaling a significant expansion of GM’s customer base.
Aquilina also highlighted GM Canada’s contribution to global innovation, noting that over 1,000 engineers in Canada are working on EV development, autonomous driving, and advanced software projects.
With a diverse lineup spanning 13 EV nameplates across Chevrolet, Cadillac, and GMC, GM says it is ready to meet the needs of every type of driver. The Vancouver showcase underscores the company’s ambition to remain at the forefront of Canada’s rapidly accelerating EV transition.
