Bengaluru-based electric vehicle startup Zeno has officially launched Emara, which the company claims to be India’s first sport utility electric motorcycle (SUEM). Positioned as a sustainable alternative for commuters of 100–150cc petrol bikes, Emara marks a significant entry into the growing two-wheeler EV segment in India.
Performance & Technical Highlights:
The Emara boasts a top speed of 90 kmph and delivers a real-world range of 100 km on a 4 kWh battery pack, which can be expanded to 8 kWh based on user needs. Designed with utility in mind, the electric motorcycle offers an impressive load-carrying capacity of 250 kg, making it suitable for both daily riders and last-mile logistics.
Pricing & Ownership Models:
Zeno is offering Emara under two pricing models:
- Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS): Starts at ₹64,000 for early bird customers and ₹79,000 under the standard plan.
- Full Ownership: Priced at ₹1.19 lakh, with a special introductory price of ₹1.00 lakh for the first 5,000 buyers.
With Emara, Zeno aims to bridge the gap between performance and utility in the electric motorcycle market, targeting urban riders looking for efficiency without compromising on load capability or cost.
