In a major push toward sustainable transportation, Montra Electric and Magenta Mobility have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to accelerate the adoption of electric mobility solutions across India’s logistics sector. As part of the agreement, Montra Electric’s Small Commercial Vehicle (SCV) division, Tivolt Electric Vehicles, will supply 100 units of its newly launched Eviator E350L electric vehicles to Magenta Mobility.
The MoU was officially signed by Saju Nair, CEO of Tivolt Electric Private Limited, and Maxson Lewis, Managing Director and CEO of Magenta Mobility. The collaboration aims to bolster green logistics operations in sectors such as FMCG, grocery, e-commerce, and telecom, while addressing critical needs like mileage, driver safety, and intercity operability.
“We are not just supplying EVs but delivering a complete ecosystem of efficiency, reliability, and profitability,” said Saju Nair, highlighting the Eviator’s competitive edge with advanced telematics, software-defined vehicle (SDV) capabilities, and a market-leading total cost of ownership.
Unveiled recently at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, the Eviator E350L stands out as a game-changer in the 3.5-tonne segment, being India’s first truly purpose-built EV in this category. With class-leading performance specs and a focus on driver comfort, the vehicle is engineered for both urban and intercity logistics applications.
“This partnership with Montra Electric strengthens our commitment to making green logistics accessible and scalable,” said Maxson Lewis, emphasizing the alignment of the Eviator platform with Magenta’s mission to revolutionize clean transport solutions in India.
In addition to the vehicle deployment, Montra Electric will provide tailored servicing and EV charging solutions to ensure uninterrupted operations and maximize uptime for Magenta’s fleet.
Paving the Road to Green Commercial Mobility
This collaboration is expected to set a new benchmark for EV adoption in the commercial transport industry, creating a ripple effect across India’s fast-growing logistics ecosystem. With increasing demand for structured and reliable EV players, the Montra-Magenta alliance brings together innovation, scale, and service excellence.
As India accelerates its transition toward net-zero logistics, this partnership represents a significant leap toward the decarbonization of medium-duty freight and highlights how collaboration between technology innovators and logistics leaders can drive impactful change.
