The Detroit Children’s Fund (DCF), a nonprofit organization committed to providing quality education for Detroit children, is set to receive $550,000 from the auction of the first retail production of the all-electric 2025 Cadillac ESCALADE IQ. This significant amount was raised during the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction, with Barrett-Jackson generously waiving all auction fees and commissions.

Mark Reuss, President of General Motors, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “The education of its children is paramount to the stability and long-term health of any city, and we’re thrilled that the sale of the first ESCALADE IQ will benefit the work the Detroit Children’s Fund is doing in our hometown. We are grateful to Barrett-Jackson for the support in the sale of this historic vehicle to help a great cause.”

DCF focuses on improving public education in Detroit, partnering with proven school leaders to address the specific needs of individual schools and their students. The proceeds from the sale of the ESCALADE IQ will directly benefit thousands of students in DCF-supported schools.

The 2025 Cadillac ESCALADE IQ is a continuation of the brand’s legacy as the best-selling luxury full-size SUV in North America since 2014. The new all-electric model offers an estimated 460 miles of range and comes equipped with advanced features, including standard Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance and a 55-inch curved pillar-to-pillar display. For audiophiles, an available executive second-row seating package offers a 40-speaker AKG Studio Reference audio system.

The auctioned ESCALADE IQ is part of Cadillac’s expanding EV portfolio, which includes other luxury models such as the LYRIQ, OPTIQ, and the CELESTIQ luxury sedan. General Motors is working towards a sustainable future with a diverse range of innovative EVs and gasoline-powered vehicles.
