Oben Electric Unveils Four New EVs and Expands Showroom Network on World EV Day

On World EV Day, Oben Electric revealed plans to introduce four new electric two-wheelers over the next six months. The new models will be priced between INR 60,000 and INR 1,50,000, highlighting the company’s commitment to providing affordable and high-performance electric vehicles (EVs) that cater to diverse consumer needs. This strategic move underscores Oben Electric’s role in transforming India’s electric mobility landscape with innovative solutions designed to meet the growing demand for sustainable transportation.

Market Expansion and Technological Advancements

The company aims to capitalize on the burgeoning electric vehicle market by targeting the two-wheeler sector, which encompasses 70% of the motorcycle market. Oben Electric’s upcoming models will feature advanced Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery technology, known for its durability, superior heat resistance, and extended lifespan. These features are particularly well-suited to India’s challenging climate, promising to deliver reliability and performance comparable to internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.

Expansion of Showrooms and Services

In addition to launching new models, Oben Electric is expanding its footprint across India. The company plans to open over 60 new showrooms in more than 12 major cities by the end of the year. This expansion will enhance access to after-sales support and service centers, ensuring a smooth ownership experience for its expanding customer base. These initiatives align with the government’s Make in India initiative and mark a significant milestone in Oben Electric’s mission to make electric mobility widely accessible.
