Sokudo Electric, the prominent electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has announced the opening of a new dealership in Delhi as part of its expansion strategy. Located at Anubhuti Electric on Foota Road, Durga Puri, Shahdara, the new showroom spans 2,000 sq. ft. and commenced operations in July.
Situated in a high-traffic area frequented by approximately 5,000 people daily, the dealership is expected to drive significant sales. Sokudo Electric projects the new location will contribute 5-7% to the company’s sales for the fiscal year 2024-2025, with a target of selling around 200 vehicles during the Diwali season.
Chairman and Managing Director of Sokudo Electric emphasized the importance of the new store, stating, “We are delighted to launch our new dealership in Delhi, which aligns with India’s EV30@30 campaign. Delhi’s forward-thinking EV policies and its ambitious target of having 25% of vehicles sold be electric by 2024 have been key factors in our decision to establish this store. Our goal is to offer high-quality alternatives to the influx of substandard Chinese vehicles in the market. This new dealership also marks a significant step towards our aim of operating 100 flagship stores across India.”
The Delhi showroom will offer a range of ‘Made in India’ RTO and non-RTO scooters, along with helmets and other essential riding accessories. Two technicians will be on-site to handle vehicle-related issues. Additionally, Sokudo Electric is planning to set up a service station in the vicinity within the next two months.
