Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL) Announces Open Tender for Empanelment of Charge Point Operators

In a significant move towards enhancing India’s electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure, Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL) has invited bids for the empanelment of Charge Point Operators (CPO) for the procurement, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and operation & maintenance of EV charging stations and/or battery swapping stations on a Build, Own, Operate, and Maintain (BOOM) model.

The tender, seeks to onboard experienced and capable service providers to accelerate the rollout of a reliable and widespread EV charging network across the country. The submission of bids is entirely online through the E-Tendering portal, emphasizing CESL’s commitment to transparency and efficiency in the procurement process.

Key Dates and Details:

  • Document Availability: The bid document can be downloaded from the CESL e-procurement website from March 13, 2024, to April 3, 2024.
  • Pre-Bid Conference: A pre-bid conference will be held on March 20, 2024, at 11:30 Hrs IST via video conferencing to clarify any queries from prospective bidders.
  • Tender Fee: INR 25,000 (Non-refundable and Non-adjustable).
  • Earnest Money Deposit (EMD): INR 26,00,000, to be valid up to bid validity + 45 days from the date of techno-commercial bid opening.
  • Submission Deadline: Bidders are required to submit their proposals online by April 3, 2024, no later than 14:30 IST.
  • The opening of the techno-commercial bids is scheduled for April 3, 2024, at 15:00 hrs. IST, at the CESL office in New Delhi.
