Over the course of 10 million kilometers, Blue Energy Motors has effectively curbed over 3000 tonnes of CO2 emissions, equivalent to the positive environmental contribution of 120,000 mature trees.
India’s trucking market is poised for substantial growth, projected to expand fourfold by 2050, from 4 million trucks in 2022 to 17 million trucks. This growth trajectory, while beneficial for the economy, also raises concerns about escalating transportation emissions. In light of this, it is imperative to ensure that green trucks play a pivotal role in fostering a cleaner and more sustainable transport ecosystem.
According to a recent report by Niti Ayog, LNG emerges as a compelling alternative to diesel trucks. The adoption of LNG heavy-duty vehicles (HDVs) is anticipated to reach 10% of total HDV sales per annum by 2032. Green trucks, characterized by near-zero tailpipe emissions and long-term fuel cost savings, present viable replacements for conventional diesel trucks. Consequently, the Indian government is actively promoting policies and infrastructure development to facilitate the swift adoption of clean energy trucks.
