Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.’s Farm Equipment Sector (FES), a division within the Mahindra Group, disclosed its tractor sales figures for December 2023.
For December 2023, domestic sales recorded 18,028 units, down from 21,640 units in December 2022. The total tractor sales, combining both domestic and export figures, amounted to 19,138 units in December 2023 compared to 23,243 units in the same period last year. Notably, exports accounted for 1,110 units during this month.
Hemant Sikka, President of the Farm Equipment Sector at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., remarked, “Our domestic sales of 18,028 tractors in December 2023 reflect a seasonal slowdown in retail activity typical for this time, aligned with decreased agricultural operations. However, the anticipation of increased horticulture production and sustained government support to the agricultural sector is expected to bolster tractor demand. Our export market saw the sale of 1,110 tractors during this period.”
