In 2021, Swiggy made a resolute pledge to encompass a daily distance of 800,000 kilometers through electric vehicle (EV) deliveries. A trailblazer in sustainable transportation, the company has made remarkable headway in incorporating EVs for last-mile delivery. This achievement has been facilitated by strategic alliances with prominent industry frontrunners, including Reliance BP Mobility Limited and Hero Lectro. These collaborations have empowered delivery partners to reap savings of up to 40% on vehicle operating expenses, notably enhancing their earnings.
Meeting the unique demands of the delivery sector, sustainable solutions for last-mile delivery fleets must surpass conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles. Gogoro’s cutting-edge platform introduces an advanced two-wheel battery swapping system, tailored precisely to the requirements of the delivery industry.
