GM announced strategies to help customers get the most out of the clean vehicle purchasing incentive. This is made possible by GM’s historic investments in the United States to restructure the company’s portfolio, support American manufacturing and jobs, localise supply chains, and create more reliable and secure ones. GM now leads the industry in the number of vehicles that qualify for the entire $7,500 consumer incentive as a result of these improvements. In order to assist the U.S. production and adoption of EVs, which these incentives were intended to support, GM will offer a wide range of eligible vehicles over the next ten years in a variety of categories and price ranges.

GM is happy to report that the Chevrolet Bolt EV and Bolt EUV will still be eligible for the full $7,500 credit following the implementation on April 18 of Treasury’s proposed advice on the key minerals and battery component requirements. According to the MSRP cap in 2023, this indicates that qualified consumers will have access to the full $7,500 credit throughout the whole EV fleet.
