In the capital city, there will be plenty of charging stations for electric cars said the Industries minister Satyendar Jain and he also announced that three such facilities would be established by the Kejriwal government within industrial areas of the city.Â
Officially, a statement stated that battery swapping stations will be established to make it easier for the user to replace the dead battery in an electric vehicle with a fully charged one.Â
It said that the three EV charging and battery swapping stations would be set up in Patparganj, Narela Sector-5, and Bawana Industrial Area Sector-5.
Minister said that EV charging stations and swapping stations would be everywhere soon, just as petrol pumps can be found everywhere. In a meeting, the Delhi State Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation Board (DSIIDC Board) decided to install charging stations.Â
According to the statement, DSIIDC has identified the sites and Delhi Transco Limited (DTL) will install charging and swapping stations.
The Kejriwal government works tirelessly to make Delhi the capital of electric vehicles in India. Jain stated that the focus is on strengthening the EV Infrastructure.
