eBikeGo, the electric two-wheeler mobility startup, released a statement, saying that it has acquired the manufacture and marketing rights for Torrot’s European e-scooter Muvi.
In accordance with eBikeGo, this vehicle will be manufactured and marketed in both the domestic and worldwide marketplace. The firm aims to acquire a 5% portion of the global e-two-wheeler industry.
Torrot has successfully created and sold 30,000 units in Europe while keeping international quality standards as a result of its substantial investment in Muvi R&D (Research and Development) since 2015, said eBikeGo
This is an excellent move for eBikeGo since it allows them to obtain a ready-to-market product.
Muvi is an electric vehicle with IoT and AI capabilities that can be easily operated and tracked via a smartphone.
The scooter weighs 83 kgs and is particularly built to give the best of both comfort and safety with a power of 4.1 CV (3 KW) which is comparable to 125 CCs. The e-scooter can go up to 100 km in Eco mode, with a peak speed of 60 km per hour.
It features a portable battery, allowing customers to easily switch them out at stations, following the footprints of Bounce’s Infinity E1.
Muvi, which was designed in Europe and has been accepted by 14 prominent e-commerce and shared mobility firms, is poised to give consumers all the benefits of an EV more safely and conveniently, ebikeGo stated.
The new manufacturers are hopeful and convinced that Muvi will have a significant impact on EV adoption in India.
Irfan Khan, founder CEO of eBikeGo, went on to say that 25 million two-wheelers are sold in India alone each year. According to him, e-two-wheelers account for only 0.3% of this total.
He further stated that this proportion has been consistently comprehended over the last six years, indicating a lack of market acceptability and customer-centric strategy.
He also commented that the vehicles running on combustion engines are the primary cause of carbon pollution and can be readily and successfully replaced by Muvi.
The takeover of Muvi would definitely assist eBikeGo in broadening horizons and becoming the country’s frontrunner in e-mobility adoption, he added.
Khan said that Muvi, as a technologically advanced vehicle that is already running in 12 nations, does not require any homologation to supply in these markets, paving the trail for worldwide ubiquity.
