Audi AG has unveiled a major upgrade to its electric bestseller, the Audi Q4 e-tron, introducing enhanced range, faster charging, and advanced digital features aimed at improving everyday usability and driving experience.

The refreshed Q4 e-tron lineup—available in both SUV and Sportback variants—features a redesigned interior, upgraded infotainment, and improved driver assistance systems. A key highlight is the introduction of bidirectional charging, a first for Audi, enabling the vehicle to both receive and supply energy. With Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), users can power external devices such as e-bikes, while Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) functionality allows the car to act as a home energy storage system in select European markets.

The updated electric SUV also delivers improved performance, with the Q4 Sportback e-tron offering a maximum range of up to 592 km. Charging capabilities have been enhanced, with some variants now supporting up to 185 kW DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 27 minutes. In certain models, drivers can add up to 185 km of range in just 10 minutes.

Audi has also focused on efficiency improvements through a new electric motor system and optimized power electronics, resulting in up to 10% better energy efficiency. Additional refinements, such as improved transmission and software optimization, further enhance range and performance.

Inside, the Q4 e-tron introduces a new “digital stage” featuring an 11.9-inch instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch touchscreen display. An optional 12-inch passenger display and integration of AI-powered voice assistance—including ChatGPT—offer a more interactive and connected user experience. The infotainment system is based on Android Automotive OS, allowing access to apps without a smartphone.

Design updates include new digital LED lighting signatures and second-generation OLED rear lights, enhancing both safety and customization. The vehicle also offers increased practicality, with a 515-liter boot expandable to 1,487 liters and improved towing capacity of up to 1,800 kg in quattro variants.

According to Marco Schubert, Member of the Board of Management for Sales and Marketing, the upgrades make the Q4 e-tron a more attractive entry point into the Audi brand for families and fleet customers.

With these enhancements, Audi aims to strengthen the Q4 e-tron’s position in the competitive electric SUV segment by combining performance, practicality, and next-generation technology.
