Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) successfully concluded the 3rd edition of Vyapar Delhi and the 22nd national Vyapar Conclave, bringing together over 200 stakeholders from across the automotive ecosystem to discuss the future of mobility and retail in the national capital.
Held under the theme “Vyapar Delhi – Badalti Dilli,” the event witnessed participation from policymakers, OEM leaders, financial institutions, and industry experts. The conclave was graced by Rekha Gupta as the Chief Guest, who emphasized the importance of the automobile sector in driving economic growth, employment, and sustainable mobility in Delhi.
A key focus of the conclave was policy and regulatory challenges impacting dealers. Discussions revolved around the Draft Delhi EV Policy, vehicle scrappage norms, classification of workshops, and the long-standing Compensation Cess issue. A dedicated technical session provided clarity on legal aspects and future direction regarding compensation claims.
One of the major highlights was a panel discussion on “Badalti Dilli: Reimagining Passenger Mobility,” featuring senior leaders from automakers such as Volvo Car India, Honda Cars India, BYD India, and Nissan Motor India. The discussion explored evolving consumer preferences, electrification strategies, and the critical role of dealers in enabling the transition to cleaner mobility.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta highlighted the government’s commitment to building a “Clean, Green, and Smart Delhi,” supported by a ₹4,000 crore EV push over the next four years. She called upon automobile dealers to actively support the transition to clean energy and help accelerate EV adoption.
FADA President C. S. Vigneshwar stressed the need for a balanced transition, ensuring that sustainability goals do not come at the cost of livelihoods. He underlined the importance of inclusive growth, policy support, and dealer participation in shaping the future of mobility.
The conclave also addressed emerging trends such as AI-driven dealership transformation, future-ready retail practices, and advancements in financing and technology. Road safety remained a central theme, with FADA reiterating its commitment to awareness campaigns, CPR training, and responsible driving initiatives.
According to Shailender Luthra, Delhi’s automotive sector continues to show strong growth, with vehicle sales rising 17% as of March 2026 and annual registrations nearing 8 lakh units. He also highlighted a significant surge in EV adoption, particularly in electric two-wheelers, which recorded a 62% increase.
Vyapar Delhi 2026 reinforced FADA’s role as a key stakeholder in policy advocacy and industry transformation, ensuring that Delhi’s mobility ecosystem evolves sustainably while supporting economic growth and employment.
