Kia India has reported its highest-ever monthly and quarterly sales, underlining strong demand for its SUV-led portfolio in the country.

The automaker recorded its best-ever March sales at 29,112 units, marking a 14.5% year-on-year growth compared to 25,525 units in March 2025. The company also achieved its strongest first quarter performance, with Q1 2026 sales reaching 84,316 units, up 11.6% from 75,576 units in the same period last year.

According to Atul Sood, the growth was fueled by sustained demand across key models, particularly the updated Seltos, which continues to lead the company’s sales momentum. The model has consistently recorded over 10,000 units in monthly sales since its launch, supported by its advanced features and a 5-star safety rating under the Bharat NCAP program.

The Sonet and Carens models also remained strong contributors, reinforcing Kia’s presence in both the compact SUV and multi-purpose vehicle segments. The Sonet has expanded accessibility with automatic transmission options across petrol and diesel variants, while the Carens lineup, including newer variants, continues to attract buyers seeking practicality and premium features.

Kia India attributed its growth to evolving consumer preferences for feature-rich, safe, and technologically advanced vehicles. The company highlighted that customer feedback has played a crucial role in shaping product upgrades and enhancing the overall ownership experience.

The brand’s expanding nationwide footprint has also supported its growth trajectory. Kia India now operates 862 touchpoints across 390 cities, along with 124 certified pre-owned outlets, strengthening accessibility for sales and after-sales services.

Since commencing operations in 2019, Kia India has steadily built a strong market presence, driven by a combination of premium positioning and customer-centric strategies. The company has dispatched nearly 1.5 million vehicles from its Anantapur facility, including over 1.2 million domestic sales and more than 3.6 lakh exports.

Looking ahead, Kia India plans to sustain its growth momentum through new product introductions and strategic expansion, while continuing to focus on delivering future-ready mobility solutions tailored to Indian customers.
