GM Defense, in collaboration with the veteran support organization Warrior Rising, provided an exclusive hands-on experience to over 30 U.S. military veterans at General Motors’ Milford Proving Ground. The event, part of Warrior Rising’s Motor City Mission summit, gave veterans an up-close look at GM’s advanced technologies designed for global defense and government sectors.

Veterans had the opportunity to test drive the GMC HUMMER EV and the Army’s Infantry Squad Vehicle, both showcasing cutting-edge innovations. In addition, participants got a glimpse of the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and Corvette Z06, Chevrolet’s latest mid-engine performance cars.

Highlighting the day, Medal of Honor Recipient Master Sergeant Earl Plumlee led a discussion on the values embodied by the Medal of Honor, underscoring patriotism, commitment, and integrity.

“GM Defense was honored to provide Warrior Rising members the chance to experience GM’s advanced technologies,” said John Johnson, GM Defense vice president of Government Solutions and Strategy. “These veterans represent an extension of the community we serve, and we are proud to align with the values they demonstrate.”
