MovingTech, the company behind the popular ride-hailing app Namma Yatri, has unveiled its new zero-commission cab service, Yatri, in Delhi NCR. The app runs on the ONDC network, establishing itself as India’s pioneering open and community-focused platform for cabs and autos.
Yatri’s unique selling point is its driver-centric model, offering zero commission for a lifetime. This approach aims to empower drivers with higher earnings, leading to improved vehicle maintenance and a better overall experience for both drivers and passengers.
The app has already garnered significant traction, with over 4.1 lakh drivers and 72 lakh customers across India. Yatri claims that drivers have collectively earned over Rs 700 crore without paying any commission.
The launch was inaugurated by Sanjiv Singh, Joint Secretary, DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce, who praised the app’s open and community-focused approach. The ONDC network, which supports Yatri, aims to create a nationwide multi-modal transportation ecosystem.
Yatri’s expansion into Delhi NCR marks a significant step towards its vision of transforming the urban mobility landscape in India. By prioritizing driver welfare and offering affordable rides, the app seeks to redefine the ride-hailing industry.
