Nissan Formula E Team showcased a strong performance during the Berlin Rookie Test, with drivers Caio Collet and Gabriele Minì securing top-10 finishes in both sessions.
For Collet, the team’s reserve and simulator driver, this marked his second outing in the Nissan e-4ORCE 04 this season, following his participation in Free Practice 0 in Misano. The 22-year-old Brazilian, fresh off his first Indy NXT podium less than 48 hours prior, demonstrated swift adaptation, finishing ninth in the opening session before further enhancing his performance in the afternoon to secure 10th place.
Gabriele Minì, a member of the Alpine Academy, made an impressive debut in a Formula E car, clinching fifth place in the morning session. The talented Formula 3 race winner successfully executed his test program in the afternoon, completing 100 laps throughout the day and securing ninth fastest overall.
Throughout the test, the focus for both drivers remained on gathering comprehensive data across all aspects of a Formula E weekend. They engaged in several race simulations and qualifying runs at varying power levels, aiming to maximize their learning experience.
Tommaso Volpe, managing director and team principal of Nissan Formula E Team, expressed satisfaction with the performance of both rookie drivers, highlighting the invaluable data collected during the test. He commended Collet for his adaptability and praised Minì for quickly acclimatizing to the demands of Formula E machinery.
