As Ayodhya residents embrace electric vehicles (EVs), charging infrastructure provider Statiq inaugurated its first EV charging station in the city. Situated at the Laxman Kunj smart vehicle multi-storey parking, the station was installed by Statiq in collaboration with fleet partner MyEVPlus.

Featuring one 60 kW DC charger (dual gun) and four 9.9 kW AC chargers, each equipped with three sockets of 3.3 kW, the station allows simultaneous charging for up to 14 electric vehicles, according to a statement from the company.

Akshit Bansal, Founder and CEO of Statiq, remarked, “This installation not only aids tourism but also enhances accessibility for devotees visiting Shri Ram Janmabhoomi.” Statiq has already deployed over 7,000 charging stations across various cities and aims to establish 20,000 EV charging stations by the end of this year.

Prashaant, Director at MyEVPlus, emphasized, “While the charging station meets the growing demand for EV infrastructure, it also contributes to the broader goal of fostering a sustainable and eco-friendly transportation environment.”
