RunR Mobility Shifts Gears, Expands Into Direct-to-Customer Market With Electric Scooter Rollout

RunR Mobility, a manufacturer of electric two-wheelers, is making a significant move into the Direct-to-Customer (D2C) market by launching its electric scooter for retail consumers. Previously, RunR primarily focused on the B2B segment. The company plans to deploy 200 electric vehicles by the end of this month and will open new dealerships where customers can test-ride the vehicles. Additionally, RunR intends to establish 40 swapping stations during the current fiscal year.

Currently, RunR Mobility offers the HS EV model in the Indian market, with prices ranging from ₹1.25 lakh to ₹1.30 lakh (ex-showroom, before subsidies). The HS EV is available in five color options: White, Black, Grey, Red, and Green.

The electric scooter is equipped with a 60 V 40 AH Li-ion liquid-cooled wire-bound battery, featuring an art can-based Battery Management System (BMS). It boasts a claimed range of 110 km on a full charge and a top speed of 70 kmph, thanks to a 1.5 kW BLDC motor. The scooter also includes various features such as a digital screen displaying crucial information, anti-theft vehicle locators, remote fleet management, and Over The Air (OTA) updates. It comes with alloy wheels, suggesting the presence of tubeless tires, an LED tail lamp, and an LED headlamp. Notably, there is a unique tube-like lighting element for added aesthetics, with turn indicators located on the front apron.
