In a significant step towards transforming rural and agricultural mobility in India, Revamp Moto, a leading modular electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NACOF Oorja, a prominent Renewable Energy developer and operator. The collaboration aims to introduce innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective electric vehicle solutions to rural and agricultural sectors, leveraging NACOF’s extensive farmer network.
The MoU signing ceremony, held at a gala launch event, saw the presence of distinguished guests including Mr. Ram Iqbal Singh, Founder Chairman of NACOF, and Mr. P. Sureshbabu, Managing Director of NACOF Oorja Pvt. Ltd., alongside the three Co-Founders of Revamp Moto: Mr. Pritesh Mahajan, Mr. Jayesh Tope, and Mr. Pushkaraj Salunke.
Under this partnership, Revamp Moto will utilize NACOF’s vast farmer network, exceeding 8 crore members, to market and distribute its portfolio of best-in-class electric vehicles. The aim is to reach a wider audience of micro-entrepreneurs in rural and agricultural India, empowering them with sustainable mobility solutions. The collaboration targets bringing at least 75,000-1,00,000 of Revamp’s EVs onto Indian roads and empowering half a million farmers by 2028.
Mr. Ram Iqbal Singh expressed NACOF’s dedication to simplifying farmers’ lives through renewable energy solutions, including Electric Farm Equipment and Specialized Electric Vehicles. Mr. Jayesh Tope, Co-founder of Revamp Moto, highlighted the partnership’s significance in expanding the market for modular EVs and empowering rural entrepreneurs.
Mr. P. Sureshbabu emphasized the collective efforts of NACOF Oorja and Revamp Moto in shaping a brighter future, particularly for micro-entrepreneurs and farmers.
The collaboration will provide micro-entrepreneurs with accessible business opportunities facilitated by Revamp’s Modular Utility Vehicles. These vehicles, equipped with swiftly swappable co-branded attachments, will enhance productivity and efficiency in rural areas. Financial partners will offer tailored and affordable products, including subsidies, loans, and leasing options, to facilitate vehicle purchases.
The transportation and logistics needs of NACOF members and affiliated businesses will be met using Revamp Moto’s Electric Vehicles. Fleet management solutions and integrated IoT technology will ensure real-time tracking and performance monitoring, enhancing operational efficiency and safety.
Revamp Moto’s mission to impact 1 million lives by 2028 aligns with the partnership’s goal of positively impacting the lives of over half a million farmers in India. The collaboration aims to deploy at least 1 Lakh vehicles, driving increased productivity, efficiency, and income levels for rural entrepreneurs.
As per the terms of the MoU, both organizations will promote each other’s brand through their established networks, further expanding their customer base and reach.
