
Olectra Greentech Receives An Order Of 100 Electric Buses From Assam
Olectra Greentech Limited announced that it received a Letter of Award for 100 electric buses from Assam State Transport Corporations (ASTC). According to a press release, the order was the first from North-Eastern countries. It will be delivered in nine months. The firm will also be responsible for maintaining the buses for five years. Olectra would receive approximately Rs.151 crore from these 100 buses. K V Pradeep, Chairman, and Managing Director said, “We feel happy to get the first order from the North-Eastern states and Assam. With this order, our buses are running all the corners in India. Ours clocked over five crore kilometres on Indian roads, and reduced carbon emissions significantly.”

Peel Works To Deploy 100 Electric Vehicles
Peel Works, a business-to-business player replaces all its fossil fuel-based delivery trucks with electric vehicles. It will procure 100 electric vehicles for the first phase. Peel Works, a Mumbai-headquartered business-to-business grocery e-commerce company, is in talks with Piaggio, Mahindra, Tata Motors, and Greaves for procuring 100 EVs for its distribution business. It manages Taikee, a retail management platform, and, Payroll management, Manpower and Logistics as a service platform 1SF. “We plan to switch completely to electric vehicles. We are currently planning to transport 100 EVs in the first phase of the festival season. “If it goes well, then we will go after more EVs deployment,” Lt Col Pushkar Raj (Retd), the co-founder of the company and head of the supply chain.
HOP Electric Mobility Launches HOP OXO; To Invest Rs 200 Crore For Expansion In Next 1 Year
According to HOP Electric Mobility, the company’s founder and CEO Ketan Mehta, the company plan to invest as much as Rs 200 crore over the next year in new products, charging infrastructure, and additional production capacity. On Monday, the startup launched the high-speed electric motorbike HOP OXO at a starting price of Rs 1.25 lakh. It is now establishing an electric vehicle park in Neemrana, Rajasthan, with its component suppliers. Mehta stated that “Cumulatively, we have invested around Rs 50 crore in the business so far and we are ready to invest up to Rs 200 crore in the next 12 months.”
Delhi Resident Shows Strong Support For Proposed Aggregator Program – Survey
A new survey of Delhi residents shows strong support for the proposed aggregator program. This requires a transition to electric vehicles by e-commerce and last-mile delivery companies. The deadline to transition from Internal Combustion Engines, (ICE) to EV is set for April 30, 2030. This date applies to e-commerce, transport logistics and delivery service providers. The survey was conducted by CMSR Consultants and commissioned by the Sustainable Mobility Network. It found that 88% of 1,508 respondents in Delhi blamed last-mile delivery vehicles for the rising levels of air pollution in their city. The survey found that 95.2% of respondents believed that a switch by delivery companies to EVs was important to address air pollution and mitigate climate change.
Jaipur International Airport Installs Seven EV Charging Stations
Jaipur International Airport installs 7 electric vehicle charging stations after introducing 7 electric vehicles SUVs. Around 38 electric vehicles can be charged with these chargers in a day. “The DC fast electric vehicle charging station is located at traffic island 4 near the exit gate of the airport. This station has two 60-KW CCS 2-type gun chargers, where two EVs can be charged simultaneously. The charging station is capable of charging approximately 38 vehicles in 24 hours,” said an official spokesperson of the airport. The construction for installing electric vehicle chargers has been started on the city side. “The presence of an EV charging station at a public utility will only reassure EV owners to use this green mode of transport while planning their next ride to the airport,” said an official. The EV charging stations have been set up to reduce the carbon footprints of the airport authority and to switch to green energy.

Tata Power, India’s largest EV charging solutions provider has achieved a rare landmark of setting up 450+ EZ Charging points across 350 + national highways in the country. Tata Power EZ Charging Points are now present across major national highways including the longest highway (NH 44 which connects J&K to Tamil Nadu), the busiest highway (NH 19 connecting Delhi, UP, Bihar, West Bengal, and Jharkhand) and other highways connecting major states across south, north, east and west India (NH 65, NH 48, NH 16 etc.). Kinetic Green Launches ‘Zing HSS Electric Scooter’; Aims For Revenue Of Rs.500 Crore From Electric Two-Wheelers
Kinetic Green, an electric two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturer, has entered the high-speed scooter market with Zing HSS, its first product at Rs 85,000 (after FAME II subsidies). After the Zing and Zoom electric scooters, which were launched last year, this will be Kinetic Green’s third e-scooter offering. The EV maker can be found in the L3 and the L5 categories of electric three-wheelers and serves last-mile mobility. Sulajja Firodia Motwani, Founder & CEO, of Kinetic Green, said, “We did not enter the two-wheeler space in the beginning due to our non-compete clause with Mahindra two-wheelers that was there till 2019.”
Odisha Government To Hire Electric Vehicles For Its Office Use
The Odisha government is taking steps to prevent air pollution from entering the environment. As per the state transport minister, Tukuni Sahu, the government will hire electric vehicles (EVs) for its office use. “The Naveen Patnaik government is always concerned about development without environmental pollution. Accordingly, we are planning to engage electric vehicles instead of fossil fuel vehicles in different government offices,” Sahu said. She stated that the plan is to use fewer electric vehicles in every office and department, at least in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. Sahu reported that the Transport Commissioner was asked to fix the hiring charges for electric vehicles for official use by departments, offices and Public Sector Undertakings.
