In a landmark move set to redefine the landscape of electric mobility, PURE EV, India’s premier electric two-wheeler (2W) OEM, has announced a strategic joint venture with Pragmatic Design Solutions Ltd (PDSL), a distinguished engineering firm based in the UK.

With a shared commitment to transforming electric transportation and enhancing affordability, the collaboration aims to develop a high-performance electric 2W leveraging solid-state battery technology. The JV, headquartered at the Coventry University Technology Park, UK, renowned as the world’s leading automotive hub, will spearhead innovation in the EV sector.

The envisioned product boasts a mileage of 250 kilometers, a top speed exceeding 100 kilometers per hour, and an AI-based powertrain platform offering user-friendly troubleshooting and fast on-board charging capabilities.

Mr. Rohit Vadera, CEO of PURE EV, expressed enthusiasm about venturing into the premium scooter segment, stating, “PURE EV has continuously pushed the boundaries of electric mobility, and this collaboration with PDSL UK is poised to unlock new opportunities. We aim to develop a premium product that exceeds customer expectations both in India and select international markets.”

Dr. Steve Simplay, Director of MSME at PDSL, highlighted the West Midlands-based company’s commitment to supporting PURE EV’s future growth.
