Volkswagen has unveiled the all-electric ID. Cross, a compact SUV built on the company’s MEB+ electric vehicle platform, combining advanced driver assistance technologies, premium interior features and a driving range of up to 427 km (WLTP). The model is priced from approximately €28,000, with advance sales beginning in Germany.
The ID. Cross will be offered with three power outputs—85 kW, 99 kW and 155 kW—and two battery options of 37 kWh and 52 kWh (net). The SUV supports AC charging of up to 11 kW, while DC fast charging enables the 37 kWh battery to charge from 10% to 80% in around 23 minutes at up to 90 kW, and the 52 kWh battery to reach the same charge level in approximately 24 minutes at up to 105 kW.
Built on Volkswagen’s latest MEB+ architecture, the ID. Cross measures 4,153 mm in length and offers seating for five passengers. The vehicle provides 475 litres of luggage capacity, supplemented by an additional 25-litre front storage compartment (frunk) for charging cables and small items.

Cross combines advanced technology, modern design and everyday practicality at an accessible price point, positioning it as a strong addition to Volkswagen’s growing electric vehicle portfolio.
The SUV features Volkswagen’s latest Innovision infotainment system, including a 12.9-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro with customizable display modes. The interior incorporates premium materials, fabric-covered dashboard surfaces and enhanced seating comfort.
Volkswagen has also introduced several advanced driver assistance technologies in the ID. Cross, including Connected Travel Assist with traffic light recognition, which can automatically bring the vehicle to a stop at red lights within system limits. Other available features include One Pedal Driving, 360-degree Area View, Park Assist Pro with remote smartphone-controlled parking, and an optional adaptive DCC suspension for improved ride comfort and handling.
The vehicle comes equipped with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality as standard, enabling users to power external electrical devices with an output of up to 3.6 kW. Models equipped with the 52 kWh battery can also tow trailers weighing up to 1,200 kg, expanding the vehicle’s utility.
The ID. Cross will be available in Trend, Life and Style trim levels. Higher-specification variants include IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlamps, illuminated Volkswagen logos, heated seats and steering wheel, dual-zone climate control and keyless access. Optional premium features include a Harman Kardon audio system, electrically adjustable massage seats and a panoramic glass roof.
Volkswagen has opened orders in Germany for the Life and Style variants equipped with the 155 kW powertrain and 52 kWh battery, priced from €36,525. The entry-level Trend variant, featuring the 85 kW motor and 37 kWh battery, will be available from €27,995, with additional configurations expected to follow.
