EV rental and mobility technology company Bijliride has announced the deployment of 5,000 new electric two-wheelers as part of a major operational expansion aimed at meeting rising demand from corporate customers, quick-commerce platforms, hyperlocal delivery providers, and retail users across India.

The expansion builds on the company’s existing operations in Hyderabad, Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Pune, strengthening its electric mobility network through increased fleet availability and an accelerated franchise onboarding strategy.

According to the company, the additional fleet will enable enterprise customers to access legally compliant, deployment-ready electric vehicles for last-mile logistics while reducing operational overheads. Bijliride said the expanded fleet density is expected to improve delivery efficiency and maximise vehicle uptime through its 24/7 localised support network.

The company added that the expansion is also intended to benefit gig workers and delivery partners by reducing fuel and vehicle maintenance expenses. Through its direct, zero-commission rental model, riders retain 100% of their earnings while benefiting from rapid battery-swapping services designed to minimise operational downtime.

Shivam Sisodiya, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bijliride, said the company is prioritising markets with strong demand for sustainable and affordable mobility solutions, particularly Hyderabad and other major metropolitan cities. He noted that increasing fleet density would reduce vehicle wait times, lower operating costs for delivery partners, and provide enterprise customers with a technology-enabled mobility solution for last-mile fulfilment.

To support the expansion, Bijliride is scaling its asset-light franchise model by partnering with local entrepreneurs to establish regional mobility hubs. The company is also expanding its supporting infrastructure, including vehicle pickup centres, charging facilities, and real-time on-road maintenance services, to ensure high fleet availability across its operating markets.

The latest deployment forms part of Bijliride’s broader strategy to strengthen its electric mobility ecosystem and support the growing adoption of sustainable transportation solutions for commercial and urban mobility applications in India.
