Škoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited has announced a leadership transition within its Sales, Marketing and Digital function, with Jan Bures set to conclude his global assignment in India and assume a new role at Volkswagen AG from September 2026.
Bures, who currently serves as Executive Director – Sales, Marketing and Digital at Škoda Auto Volkswagen India, will continue with the Volkswagen Group in his new assignment. The company expressed its appreciation for his contributions to strengthening the Group’s presence and growth in the Indian market and wished him success in his future role.
Following the transition, Piyush Arora, Managing Director and CEO of Škoda Auto Volkswagen India, will take on the additional responsibility of Executive Director – Sales & Marketing for the Group’s India operations.
According to the company, the revised leadership structure is designed to enhance strategic alignment, streamline decision-making, and improve accountability across the organisation as it continues to expand its presence in India.
Škoda Auto Volkswagen India said it remains committed to the long-term growth potential of the Indian automotive market. Representing six brands—Volkswagen, Škoda, Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, and Porsche—the company will continue to focus on sustainable growth, customer-centric innovation, and expanding its product portfolio.
