The record-breaking performance was fueled by robust demand across motorcycles, scooters, electric vehicles, and international markets, underscoring the company’s growing presence in both domestic and global mobility segments.
Total two-wheeler sales climbed 31 percent year-on-year to 543,111 units, up from 416,166 units in May 2025. Domestic two-wheeler sales also posted healthy growth, rising 24 percent to 384,565 units.
Motorcycles remained a key growth driver, with sales increasing 30 percent to 273,802 units. Scooter sales rose 32 percent to 220,740 units, reflecting strong consumer demand across TVS Motor’s product portfolio.
The company’s electric vehicle business continued its rapid expansion, with EV sales surging 56 percent year-on-year to 43,632 units in May 2026, compared with 27,976 units in the corresponding period last year. The performance marks the highest monthly EV sales achieved by the company to date, highlighting the increasing adoption of electric mobility solutions in India.
International operations also delivered a record performance. TVS Motor recorded its highest-ever international business sales of 175,991 units, representing a 49 percent increase from 118,437 units sold in May 2025. International two-wheeler sales grew 48 percent to 158,546 units, reinforcing the company’s expanding footprint across global markets.
The three-wheeler segment emerged as another strong contributor, registering a 55 percent growth in sales to 23,474 units compared with 15,109 units in the same month last year.
The strong results reflect TVS Motor’s continued momentum across multiple business segments, supported by a diverse product lineup, growing EV adoption, and increasing demand in overseas markets.
