Renault India has kicked off FY2026 with strong sales momentum, reporting a remarkable 108 percent year-on-year increase in domestic wholesales during April 2026, driven by robust demand for its refreshed product lineup and an expanding dealership network.
The French automaker’s Indian subsidiary sold 5,413 units in April, compared to 2,602 units in the same month last year, marking one of its strongest monthly performances in recent years.
The impressive growth continues the positive trajectory established over the past two quarters following the launch of the new-generation Renault Triber and Renault Kiger in September 2025. The company said the updated models have consistently delivered double-digit growth, strengthening Renault’s position in the highly competitive Indian passenger vehicle market.
Adding further momentum, the recently launched Renault Duster has received an encouraging response from customers. According to the company, demand for the SUV gained traction immediately after deliveries commenced in the latter part of April, contributing to the strong start to the financial year.
To support rising customer demand, Renault India has continued to expand its retail and service footprint across the country. The automaker recently inaugurated a new’R store and a workshop facility in Ranchi, taking its total sales and service network to 638 touchpoints nationwide.
The expanded network includes dealerships, service centers, and over 200 Workshop on Wheels locations, aimed at improving accessibility and customer service across urban and rural markets.
Renault India manufactures its vehicles at its production facility in Oragadam, Chennai, which has an annual manufacturing capacity of 480,000 units. The company remains focused on strengthening its presence in India through product innovation, enhanced customer experience, and network expansion.
The strong April performance signals a promising start to FY2026 for Renault India, with the company looking to build on the growing popularity of its refreshed lineup and capitalize on the early success of the new Duster in one of the world’s fastest-growing automotive markets.
