Ultraviolette Automotive and Bolt.Earth have significantly accelerated the rollout of their interoperable Type-6 DC fast-charging network across India, surpassing 130 installed chargers just months after launching their strategic partnership.

The milestone exceeds the companies’ original commitment of deploying 50 chargers and comes ahead of the planned rollout timeline announced in March 2026. The expansion reflects the rapid growth of India’s electric motorcycle market and rising demand for accessible fast-charging infrastructure.

The charging network is currently operational across Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and West Bengal, improving charging accessibility for electric two-wheeler riders in major cities, highways, and emerging EV corridors.

Ultraviolette Automotive stated that the rapid deployment is being driven by increasing adoption of its electric motorcycles, including the F77 and X-47 models, both of which are fully compatible with the Type-6 charging ecosystem.

Niraj Rajmohan, Co-founder and CTO of Ultraviolette, said the expansion comes at a crucial time for India’s mobility sector, especially amid global crude oil supply uncertainties. He emphasized that reliable, interoperable, and standardized charging infrastructure is essential for scaling electric mobility and building rider confidence for long-distance travel.

The rollout includes both newly installed Type-6 DC fast chargers and upgrades to existing Bolt.Earth infrastructure to support Ultraviolette motorcycles. The companies believe the growing network will improve route flexibility, charging convenience, and overall usability for EV owners nationwide.

Bolt.Earth also revealed plans to deploy an additional 200 Type-6 fast chargers over the next two months as part of its broader strategy to build one of India’s largest interoperable charging networks for electric two-wheelers.

Bolt.Earth founder Mohit Yadav noted that the company aims to install 10,000 Type-6 Blaze DC chargers over the next two years, highlighting the increasing pace of India’s EV ecosystem development.

The partnership between Ultraviolette and Bolt.Earth is expected to strengthen the foundation of India’s electric mobility infrastructure by offering a more seamless and dependable charging experience. Industry observers see interoperable charging systems as a critical factor in accelerating mass adoption of electric two-wheelers and reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
