Zelio E-Mobility has announced the appointment of Divyanshu Agarwal as its Chief Executive Officer, marking a significant leadership move as the company accelerates its expansion in India’s electric mobility sector.

At just 26, Agarwal, a Chartered Accountant, steps into the role following his tenure at Navi Limited, founded by Sachin Bansal. During his time at Navi, he rose from finance associate to Head of UPI Business and Growth, where he led business scaling, partnerships, and strategic initiatives, including fundraising and cross-functional operations.

In his new role, Agarwal will focus on strengthening operational efficiency, scaling manufacturing capabilities, and expanding market reach. Key priorities include overseeing the development of new manufacturing plants in Odisha and Coimbatore, enhancing distribution networks, and improving product-market alignment to support the company’s long-term growth strategy.

Agarwal began his professional journey at Price Waterhouse Chartered Accountants in Kolkata, where he worked on statutory audits of major listed companies. He holds a B.Com (Hons.) degree from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, along with his Chartered Accountant qualification.

Commenting on his appointment, Agarwal emphasized the need for disciplined growth, stating that the focus will be on strengthening core operations, expanding reach strategically, and building reliable products for everyday use.

Kunal Arya said the appointment comes at a crucial time as the company scales operations and seeks stronger execution and long-term vision.

The leadership change follows Zelio’s recent entry into the public markets, where the company raised ₹78.34 crore through its initial public offering (IPO), which saw an overall subscription of 1.5 times, reflecting investor confidence.

Zelio E-Mobility currently operates through a network of over 350 dealers across more than 20 states and union territories. Its product portfolio includes electric two-wheelers under the ‘Zelio’ brand and electric three-wheelers under the ‘Tanga’ lineup, serving over 200,000 customers nationwide.

With this appointment, Zelio aims to strengthen its position in India’s rapidly growing EV market by combining strategic leadership with scalable operations and a strong focus on execution.
