V-GREEN has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with the Provincial Government of Bataan and Clean Fuel to accelerate the development of electric vehicle (EV) charging and battery-swapping infrastructure across key regions in the Philippines.
The agreements aim to strengthen the country’s EV ecosystem and support the growing adoption of electric mobility solutions. Under the partnership with the Bataan Provincial Government, V-GREEN plans to establish a province-wide charging network covering one city and 11 municipalities, positioning Bataan as a model province for EV adoption.
As part of the initiative, the company targets the deployment of 600 EV charging stations and 1,200 battery-swapping stations across the province. V-GREEN will oversee the supply, installation, operation, and maintenance of the infrastructure, while local authorities will assist with permits, site recommendations, and coordination with municipal units.
In a parallel move, V-GREEN has also partnered with Clean Fuel to explore the installation of EV charging stations at high-traffic fuel stations in Dasmariñas, Cavite. With over 100 fuel stations across Luzon, Clean Fuel aims to integrate EV infrastructure into its retail network, making charging more accessible and convenient for motorists.
The partnerships are expected to support the upcoming launch of VinFast electric scooters in the Philippines by ensuring battery-swapping facilities are available from the start. The expanded network will also improve charging accessibility for existing VinFast electric car users.
Speaking on the collaboration, Jose Enrique S. Garcia III said the initiative reflects the province’s commitment to sustainable mobility and environmental responsibility. Meanwhile, Nguyen Anh Quynh highlighted the importance of accessibility and scale in building a practical EV ecosystem for Filipino consumers.
Founded by Pham Nhat Vuong, V-GREEN focuses on developing charging infrastructure to support VinFast’s global expansion, with the Philippines emerging as one of its key markets for electric mobility growth.
