Bajaj Auto Ltd. has announced a major upgrade to its popular Chetak electric scooter portfolio, introducing new technology features, higher top speeds, ride modes, and a fresh product naming structure.

The updated lineup will now follow a ‘C Series’ nomenclature, comprising the C 35, C 30, and C 25 series, aimed at making the portfolio easier to understand while enhancing product appeal.

Leading the upgrades is the flagship C 35 01, which now comes with integrated Google Maps navigation through the Chetak App. The feature addresses rising customer demand for more intuitive and familiar navigation tools.

Performance improvements have also been rolled out across the range. The C 35 01 and C 35 02 models now offer a top speed of 80 km/h, up from 73 km/h. The C 35 03 and C 30 01 now reach 70 km/h, while the C 25 01’s top speed has increased to 60 km/h.

Bajaj Auto also enhanced power output on the flagship model, with motor performance rising from 4.5 kW to 4.8 kW, delivering better acceleration and responsiveness.

Charging times have been improved as well. The C 30 01 now charges from 0 to 80% in just 2 hours and 55 minutes, down from nearly four hours earlier.

Several convenience features previously available as optional add-ons are now standard on the C 35 and C 30 models. These include Ride Modes (Sport and Eco) and Hill Hold Assist, designed to improve comfort and usability in urban riding conditions.

Additionally, the C 35 01 and C 35 02 now support Over-the-Air (OTA) updates, enabling software enhancements and new features without requiring a service center visit.

Eric Vas said the new C Series represents the next stage in the evolution of the Chetak brand, combining stronger performance, smarter connectivity, and better customer value.

Customers can further personalize their scooters through the optional TecPac, starting at ₹3,000, which unlocks advanced features such as music controls, geo-fencing, anti-theft alerts, accident detection, and additional navigation options.

With these upgrades, Bajaj Auto Ltd. is intensifying competition in India’s fast-growing electric two-wheeler market, where technology, convenience, and range are becoming key buying factors.
