Maruti Suzuki India Limited has commenced exports of its premium SUV VICTORIS, marking another milestone in the company’s expanding global footprint. The first consignment of over 450 units has been shipped from Mundra and Pipavav ports to international markets, where the SUV will be sold under the global name ‘Across’.
The Made-in-India VICTORIS is planned to be exported to over 100 countries and regions, with Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa identified as key focus markets. The model reflects Maruti Suzuki’s “Got It All” philosophy, blending futuristic styling, intelligent technology, and premium comfort to meet the expectations of global customers.
Engineered as a modern, globally competitive SUV, VICTORIS has already demonstrated strong safety credentials, earning a 5-star rating from both Global NCAP and Bharat NCAP. The vehicle also made its international debut at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, where it was showcased to a global audience.
Commenting on the development, Mr. Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said the company’s export strategy is firmly anchored in the vision of “Make in India, Make for the World.” He highlighted that in calendar year 2025, Maruti Suzuki exported over 3.9 lakh vehicles, emerging as India’s number one passenger vehicle exporter for the fifth consecutive year. The year also marked the company’s re-entry into Europe with the export of its first battery electric vehicle, the e VITARA.
Mr. Takeuchi further noted that while India’s passenger vehicle exports grew 1.43 times between CY2020 and CY2025, Maruti Suzuki’s exports increased by 4.67 times during the same period. “The addition of VICTORIS will further strengthen our export ambitions, and we are confident it will be well received in international markets,” he said.
Introduced in India in September 2025, VICTORIS has quickly gained popularity for its wraparound design language, crafted interiors, and feature-rich offering aimed at young customers. The SUV’s strong appeal was further validated when it won the prestigious Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) 2026 award.
With the start of VICTORIS exports under the global ‘Across’ badge, Maruti Suzuki continues to reinforce India’s position as a key automotive manufacturing and export hub, while expanding its presence across international markets with globally competitive products.
