BYD India, a subsidiary of the world’s leading New Energy Vehicle (NEV) manufacturer BYD, has announced a scheduled price increase for its premium electric SUV, the BYD SEALION 7, effective from January 1, 2026. The company stated that customers booking the electric SUV on or before December 31, 2025, will continue to benefit from the current ex-showroom prices.

At present, the BYD SEALION 7 is offered in two variants — the Premium (82.56 kWh) priced at ₹48.90 lakh, and the Performance (82.56 kWh) priced at ₹54.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The price revision, scheduled for early 2026, comes amid rising demand and growing acceptance of the model in the Indian electric vehicle market.

Since its unveiling at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the BYD SEALION 7 has crossed 2,000 units in sales across India, highlighting strong consumer interest in the premium electric SUV segment. The milestone reflects increasing preference for high-performance, technology-driven, and sustainable mobility solutions among Indian buyers.

This architecture enhances safety, driving dynamics, and cabin space. The SUV features an 82.56 kWh battery pack, delivering a range of 542 km in the Performance variant and 567 km in the Premium variant (NEDC). Acceleration figures stand at 0–100 km/h in 4.5 seconds for the Performance trim and 6.7 seconds for the Premium version. The vehicle also boasts a 5-star NCAP safety rating.

BYD India currently operates 47 showrooms across 40 cities, ensuring wider access to its electric vehicle portfolio and enhanced customer experience.
