Bijliride, one of India’s fastest-growing electric two-wheeler rental platforms, has entered into a strategic partnership with electric two-wheeler manufacturer BGauss to accelerate its expansion across major Indian cities.

Under the partnership, BGauss will supply high-performance electric scooters that will form a core part of Bijliride’s rental and enterprise fleet. Bijliride plans to add 7,000 BGauss electric scooters to its existing fleet of 3,000 vehicles, taking the total fleet size to 10,000 electric two-wheelers by December 2026.

The collaboration is aimed at strengthening Bijliride’s mission to make sustainable mobility accessible, affordable and dependable for individual riders, gig economy workers and enterprise customers. Known for their quality, durability and rider comfort, BGauss electric scooters are expected to support high-uptime, intensive urban usage across mobility and logistics applications.

In the first phase of expansion, Bijliride will roll out BGauss-supported rental operations in four major cities, beginning with Hyderabad, followed by Mumbai, Bengaluru and Delhi NCR. These cities have been identified for their strong demand in last-mile delivery, shared mobility services and sustainable urban commuting.

Bijliride operates as a full-stack mobility technology company, offering IoT-enabled fleet management, smart battery charging and swapping solutions, centralised dashboards for predictive maintenance, and 24×7 on-road and charging assistance. These capabilities have enabled the company to maintain fleet uptime of over 95%, ensuring operational efficiency for both individual and enterprise users.

The BGauss models deployed in Bijliride’s fleet, including the C12i Max and Oowah, feature removable lithium-ion batteries, extended range, robust suspension systems, smart connectivity and weather-resistant designs, making them suitable for urban commuting as well as last-mile logistics operations.

Looking ahead, Bijliride plans to expand its footprint to more than 10 cities by the end of next year, scaling both B2B fleet partnerships and B2C rental services, while continuing to build a reliable, connected and scalable electric mobility ecosystem for everyday urban transport.
