In a landmark move set to redefine India’s electric mobility landscape, Statiq, the country’s leading EV charging network provider, has announced a strategic partnership with BMW Group India to establish a nationwide high-speed charging corridor. The initiative aims to ensure 120 kW or higher charging stations every 300–350 kilometers, enabling seamless intercity travel for electric vehicle (EV) users across major routes.

The collaboration has already resulted in a 4,000-kilometer charging corridor from Jammu to Madurai, featuring fast chargers strategically installed along key highways and public locations. The chargers—accessible to EV owners of all brands—are designed to alleviate range anxiety and support India’s transition toward sustainable transportation. BMW customers can easily locate and access these chargers through the myBMW app.

Commenting on the partnership, Akshit Bansal, Founder & CEO of Statiq, said, “This collaboration marks a defining moment for India’s EV ecosystem. By enabling high-power charging every 300–350 km, we are addressing the core challenge of range anxiety and building the confidence needed for long-distance electric mobility.”

Our partnership with Statiq and other charging operators will ensure chargers offering 120 kW to 720 kW capacities are placed at convenient locations near cafés and public spaces, enhancing comfort and convenience for EV owners.”

Adding a technological perspective, Raghav Arora, Co-Founder & CTO of Statiq, said, “This partnership showcases how advanced technology and collaboration can accelerate EV adoption. By integrating digital experiences with a vast, high-performance network, we’re making India’s highways future-ready.”

Statiq currently operates over 8,000 chargers across 70+ cities, covering highways, malls, hotels, fuel stations, and residential hubs. The company’s platform supports discovery, booking, and contactless payments, and is integrated with other major charging providers such as E-Fill, Sunfuel, and GLIDA.

With ambitious plans to deploy 20,000 charging points by 2026, Statiq is actively partnering with state governments, automotive OEMs, and real estate developers to strengthen India’s EV ecosystem. The collaboration with BMW Group India underscores a shared commitment to clean mobility, reduced fossil fuel dependence, and a greener, future-ready India.
