Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer VinFast made a powerful impression at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) Surabaya 2025, securing four prestigious awards and reaffirming its growing dominance in the Indonesian EV market.
At the country’s second-largest auto show held in East Java, VinFast was honored in four key categories: “Best EV City Car” for the VF 3, “Favorite New Car Launch” for the VF 6, as well as “Best Booth Car” and “Best Costume | Miss IIMS Surabaya 2025.” The awards were determined by both the IIMS Organizing Committee and thousands of event attendees, reflecting VinFast’s strong resonance with both industry experts and consumers.
The VF 3, which has emerged as a top urban mobility solution, dominated the “Best EV City Car” category with 89% of the total votes, outperforming leading competitors from China and Japan. The model also achieved the distinction of being the most test-driven vehicle at IIMS 2025.
With a standout design, practical features, and affordable pricing, the VF 3 has quickly become a fan favorite, empowering users to embrace electric mobility with style and confidence.
Meanwhile, the newly introduced VF 6 captivated the panel and visitors alike, earning the “Favorite New Car Launch” title. Experts praised its modern aesthetics, cutting-edge technology, and dynamic driving performance, calling it a promising force in Indonesia’s transition to electrified transportation.
Beyond vehicle accolades, VinFast’s booth design and cultural presentation earned widespread acclaim. The company’s expansive, futuristic exhibition space was recognized as the “Best Booth Car,” while the graceful Vietnamese Ao Dai showcased in the “Best Costume | Miss IIMS Surabaya 2025” category created a lasting impression by blending tradition with innovation.
Rudi MF, Project Manager of IIMS, applauded VinFast’s impact:
“VinFast’s booth attracted massive attention with its innovative presentation and hands-on experience offerings. The VF 3 and VF 6 resonated deeply with visitors and experts alike. Their presence symbolizes not only product quality but also a strong commitment to the EV movement in Indonesia.”
Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, CEO of VinFast Indonesia, expressed pride in the company’s achievement:

The company is also partnering with Otoklix and BOS to roll out 500 authorized service centers nationwide by the end of 2025.
Furthermore, collaborations with GSM (electric taxi service) and V-GREEN (charging infrastructure provider) are rapidly advancing VinFast’s vision of a green mobility ecosystem in Indonesia, reinforcing its long-term investment and commitment to one of Southeast Asia’s most promising EV markets.
