VinFast has officially launched an early booking program in Indonesia for three new battery-swapping electric motorcycles — the VinFast Evo, VinFast Feliz II, and VinFast Viper — marking a major step in the company’s Southeast Asian expansion strategy.
Announced on May 20, the launch reinforces VinFast’s commitment to building a comprehensive green mobility ecosystem in Indonesia, one of the world’s largest two-wheeler markets. The company said the initiative is designed to support the country’s transition toward cleaner transportation solutions.
The early booking program will run until June 20 through VinFast’s Indonesian website and hotline services. Customers placing orders during the promotional period will receive a special discount worth IDR 1.6 million, while deliveries are expected to begin in June 2026.
The three electric motorcycles are aimed at different consumer segments, from daily commuters to young riders seeking sporty designs and smart technology features. The VinFast Viper, targeted at younger users, comes equipped with a TFT display, projector headlights, smart key technology, and advanced anti-theft functions.
Meanwhile, the VinFast Evo and Feliz II build on the company’s earlier-generation models, with improvements tailored to Indonesian riders’ practical mobility needs.
All three models are powered by a 5,200W BLDC in-wheel motor and use dual 1.5 kWh LFP batteries. The Viper and Feliz II can reach speeds of up to 90 km/h, while the Evo tops out at 80 km/h. Under standard conditions, the Evo offers a driving range of up to 150 km, while the Viper and Feliz II can travel up to 145 km on a full charge.
VinFast is also introducing flexible ownership options, allowing buyers to choose between battery subscriptions, battery swapping, or purchasing the motorcycles with batteries included. Monthly battery subscriptions are priced at IDR 84,000 per battery, while swapping fees are set at IDR 6,000 per swap.
To strengthen its electric mobility infrastructure, VinFast is partnering with global charging infrastructure developer V-Green to deploy charging and battery-swapping stations across Indonesia. Customers will receive free battery swapping for one year at participating stations, capped at 20 swaps per month.
According to Ms. Vo Thi Cam Tu, the simultaneous launch of the three models reflects VinFast’s long-term commitment to Indonesia’s growing electric mobility sector.
The Indonesian launch forms part of VinFast’s broader international strategy. Earlier this year, the company announced plans to expand its electric two-wheeler business into key Asian markets including the Philippines, India, Thailand, and Malaysia, alongside Indonesia.
