Honda and McLaren to Celebrate Ayrton Senna’s Legacy with “SENNA SEMPRE” Event at 2024 F1 São Paulo Grand Prix

Commemorating 30 years of Ayrton Senna’s enduring legacy, Honda and McLaren Racing, in collaboration with the F1 GP São Paulo1, will host the “SENNA SEMPRE (SENNA FOREVER)” event during the 2024 FIA2 F1 São Paulo Grand Prix weekend from November 1 to 3. The highlight of this tribute will be a demo run of the iconic McLaren Honda MP4/5B, the very car that propelled Senna to his World Championship title in the 1990 F1 season.

The McLaren-Honda partnership, celebrated as one of the most dominant forces in Formula 1 history, achieved 44 wins out of 80 races between 1988 and 1992. Ayrton Senna, revered as one of the greatest F1 drivers of all time, secured three World Championship titles—1988, 1990, and 1991—during this era, cementing his place in motorsport history and capturing the hearts of fans around the world.

The “SENNA SEMPRE” event aims to honor Senna’s lasting impact on Formula 1 and his legacy as a Brazilian icon. The demonstration run of the McLaren Honda MP4/5B is expected to be an emotional highlight of the race weekend, offering fans a chance to witness the legendary machine in action once more on Brazilian soil.
